You may think I'm crazy, but we have a children's garden just for our childs where there are many outside activities for kids to do. It's a wonderful place. We grow colorful flowers, that they can cut anytime. We plant vegetables from seed. We place their pet rocks and home made stepping stones in this garden. The bird sanctuary is in their garden.
The butterfly garden is a part of their landscape. What a magical place we can make for our children outdoors! My children have really taken ownership of their garden: they plan, they journal, they collect seeds, they fill bird feeders, they cut flowers and they take pictures. That is pure joy for a gardening mom!
